What is Merage Net Impact?

The UC Irvine, Paul Merage School of Business Net Impact Chapter is committed to growing and strengthening a network of leaders to use the power of business to make a positive net social, environmental and economic impact in the Merage and Orange County communities.

Why focus on making an impact?

Net Impact focuses on the following themes:

1. Corporate social responsibility

2. Social entrepreneurship

3. Environmental sustainability

4. International development

5. Non-profit management

Fulfilling social responsibilities in the community and environment is essential to the success corporations today. The Merage Net Impact club would like to allow their student members to explore and learn skills of all the themes listed above. The Paul Merage School of Business emphasizes on and is expanding in the social responsibility and non-profit management aspect of business in its curriculum, but the Merage Net Impact chapter’s goal is to develop awareness, knowledge, and skills outside of the classroom.
